Bombi (pronounced bom-bee) is a Rhode Island start-up that released its first (and only) model in 2023: the Bebee.

The company was founded by ex-Summer Infant veteran Mike Fusco along with Chris Parente and Kelsey Nolan. Fusco helped create several of Summer Infant's hit strollers before launching Bombi in 2021.

In an interview with the Boston Globe, Fusco explained the Bebee is a jumping off point for the brand:

We’re looking at this stroller as our entry-in. We are focused on winning in this group and market, but there are other segments we could enter into (like jogging strollers, double strollers, adventure strollers). We have prototypes and concepts already in the works, but we’re focusing on this one so we can branch off from there.[1]

Touted as a "hybrid of a lightweight stroller and full-size stroller, the Bombi Bebee has a one-handed fold (Bombi claims its the "fastest one-handed fold on the market"), weighs only 16 lbs., and more than half of the stroller is made of recycle plastic. Other features of the Bombi include:

  • Fabrics made from recycled plastic; frame from aircraft aluminum.
  • Infinite recline and adjustable footrest.
  • Large storage basket with hidden pocket.
  • Leatherette handlebar and bumper bar.
  • Bumper bar swings out of the way.
  • Cup holder.
  • Full size canopy with zip out extension.
  • Storage basket plus parent and child storage pockets.
  • Includes a travel bag.
  • All-wheel suspension.
  • Standing fold.
  • Car seat adapter straps available for an extra charge.

The Bombi does not accommodate newborns, rather the seat is only for children from 6 months up to 50 lbs. It has car seat adapter straps for an infant car seat. Bombi is only available directly from the company and is not sold on Amazon or other retailers.
